Living On Purpose
If you ...
Have turned the page on some life challenges and are ready to discover what’s next.
Gained profound insights from the journey so far but want to “thrive” not just “survive” any longer.
Your age and experiences have given you a burning desire to “live” intentionally but you’re not quite sure how to get there.
And you are ready ….
To blow out your birthday candles each year, celebrating a life brimming with purpose.
To lead a life not just by chance, but with passion.
To craft a life story that’s not only about where you’ve been, but where you’re destined to go, knowing that it’s not too late!
You never know what it's going to throw at you.
I grabbed the handle on the lawn mower and pushed the machine over watching it crash to the ground. I was done. The tears began to flow, and my cheeks were burning red.
“I…can’t….do…. this!! THIS was YOUR job!” I was so upset.
It was Spring and the house chores, coupled with everything else I was contending with had become too much. Six months earlier, at the age of 31, my husband had passed away after a short illness, leaving me and my 2 ½ year old daughter to fend for ourselves.
Over the next decade my life changed drastically. The fairy tale plan I had expected did not materialize and, in its place, came many days of “just hanging on”. Life was hard…. ridiculously hard.
Eventually, the tears, anger and sadness dissipated and slowly I learned to rely on a strength and intuition that moved me forward. I sold the house and moved to a place that was more manageable – no more lawn mowers. And over time, each tiny decision and “flicker” of bravery gave me the courage to find a new home, a new career and eventually a new family.
I love this quote from the American singer and composer, Bernice Johnson Reagon – “Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you; they’re supposed to help you discover who you are.”
And I did.
You can too!
